From the Safer Haminhagim: [Every day from Rosh Chodesh Nissan until the twelfth of the month, usually after Shacharis,] one reads the passage [from Bamidbar 7-8:4] that describes the offering brought on that day by a particular Nasi, or tribal prince, for the dedication of the altar of the Mishkan. [In common parlance, each day's passage itself is often referred to as “the Nasi.”] This daily reading is followed by the prayer which opens with the words yehi ratzon (and which appears in Siddur Torah Or [as well as in Siddur Tehillat HaShem, p. 371]). This prayer is recited even by a Kohen or a Levi [despite its seeming relevance only to tribes other than the Tribe of Levi]. [284]

As a young woman who decided in her early 20s to become Orthodox, my life has been anything but boring. I grew up with a tight knit family, went to a reform synagogue, attended inner city schools and learned how to interact with all walks of life at a young age. Those friendships I still hold onto dearly. After my high school graduation I was accepted to a college in NYC and soon enough I was living in the city that never sleeps. I found a cute apartment in Spanish Harlem where many people are too afraid to walk even in broad daylight.

Shluchim Pause to Pray at Grave of Kedoshim

Whilst on the recent JLI Land and Spirit Mission to Israel, over a minyan of shluchim joined together early one morning to visit the kever of fellow shluchim Hakdoshim Rabbi Gavriel Noach and Rebbetzin Rivka Holtzberg HY”D on Har Hazeisim, as they felt that being in Eretz Yisroel shluchim should make a point to visit the kvorim.

Chabad UF Expands to Accommodate Growing ‘Family’
