Shaul Spitzer, a follower of the Skverer Rebbe, has been sentenced to seven years in prison for first-degree assault in the attack on Aron Rottenberg at 4:15 a.m. May 22 during an attempt to burn down the family’s home on Truman Avenue in New Square.

Members of the Chabad Beis Aryeh Shul in Lod are seeking to understand where the Sefer Torah went. Gabbaim opened the Aaron Kodesh to find the Torah missing. They seem to be confused, uncertain if it was stolen or taken by a member of the kehila.
