New Shluchim to Maryland
Rabbi Yehudah and Batsheva Glick are moving on Shlichus to Germantown, Maryland, where they will be opening a new Chabad center under the auspices of head Shliach to Maryland Rabbi Shmuel Kaplan. Crownheights.info wishes the new Shluchim much success in all their endeavors.
In a recent meeting between State Comptroller of Israel Micha Lindenstrauss and Rabbi Menachem Kirschenbaum, a file of documents that sheds light on the Rebbe’s involvement in events during the State’s early years was discussed as part of an ongoing project, to be completed soon, concerning the Rebbe’s involvement in major Jewish organizations such as the UJA Federation and American Jewish Congress.

New Volume Opens Door to Rebbe’s Rashi Sichos
Scholars for generations have tried to decipher the seemingly simplistic words of Rabbi Shlomo Yitzchaki, the 12th-century commentator known as Rashi whose glosses on the Five Books of Moses have become standard fare for any student of the Torah. But a new English volume attempts to reveal some of the principles behind the commentary, drawing on several talks delivered by the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, of righteous memory, whose elucidations of Rashi’s writings have been called by modern-day scholars as “revolutionary.”
