The Chernobyl Rebbe, R’ Menachem Nochum Twersky Shlita, visited the Lubavitcher Yeshiva in Brunoy, France. While there, he shared words of Torah with the bochurim, and toured the premises with the Yeshiva’a Hanholah.

Chabad of North Brooklyn Forges Community Ties
On Sunday, February 26, an eclectic mix of 150 guests, among them artists, young professionals and black-hat Hasidic Jews gathered in a Williamsburg art gallery to celebrate the growth and expansion of Chabad of North Brooklyn. As kosher bruschetta made the rounds, the urban crowd admired contemporary art hanging from the white-washed walls as well as joyful photographs of young preschool students who attend the popular Gan Chabad.

Love of Torah Attracts Young Men to South Florida

Anyone who reads my blog knows that I’m just not that big a baker. So when Purim comes around, I’m not about to make my own hamantaschen. The bakery stuff is good enough for me. I still like to get into the Purim spirit, so coming up with something that has three corners (reminiscent of Haman’s three-cornered hat) is a must. Last year, I made these puff pastry ones, filled with sauteed spinach, cabbage, and pumpkin fillings. This year, I knew I had to step it up.

“A Dinner Darf Men Hoben” – A Dinner Is Needed
These words, “A dinner darf men hoben”—“A dinner is needed”—were the Rebbe’s answer to Reb Dovid Deitsch, when asked if it’s so necessary for Educational Institute Oholei Torah to make a dinner annually. Since then, Oholei Torah has had a dinner every year, and with great success.
Three years later, the loss is still palpable. On Daled Adar, a month our sages note is filled with simcha, nine year old Levi Yitzchak Wolowik returned his Soul to the Creator. His memory is most appropriately honored at the Levi Yitzchak Library and Family Center in Cedarhurst, an exuberant place where children and young adults can enjoy great Jewish books and other wholesome and fun activities.
