An attempt by a Lubavitcher bochur to keep children in the learning loop during the vacation days of Pesach has been gathering a following.
A group of about a dozen Shluchim and Anash from the Conejo Valley, California, organized a Mitzvah Tank in honor of Yud Aleph Nissan. The tank travelled to every shopping center in the region, as well as throughout the streets of Agoura Hills and Oak Park.
On Wednesday, Jewish public school students who attend the Released Time program were given a taste of Pesach. They learned hands-on the ins and outs of the upcoming holiday.
Sausage is a sin no more – even for Passover. Two Crown Heights foodies who started a kosher meat and deli business 18 months ago are adding specially-made sausage for the holiday which starts Friday at sundown.
Yesterday, Yud Aleph Nissan, 5772, a state-of-the-art men’s mikvah was dedicated in Ramat Shlomo, Yerushalayim. The mikvah, named Ohr Meir, is situated in the 770 of Jerusalem, which has become a landmark in the city and part of the Yerushalayim landscape.

Last Tuesday a few LA bochrim sat down, having just returned from their yeshivas abroad for Pesach break. Together they decided to make a mitzvah tank parade in their hometown. It would to be the first mitzvah tank parade in over 16 years to hit the streets of Los Angeles.
The 71st precinct managed to reach a new low yesterday: just as the Mitzva Take Parade was getting ready to set off, one police officer – who was assigned to watch the tanks – found the time to offer his own birthday gift to Rebbe: an expensive parking ticket.

When it came time to observe my mother’s first yahrzeit last week, I was in Mitzpe Ramon in the Negev. A fitting place since my mother, Sondra, was an avid traveler and particularly enjoyed her many visits to Israel.
