Rabbi Pinny Gniwisch has seen the abject poverty and violence of Brazil’s cities first hand. As a Chabad rabbi, he has travelled to Rio de Janeiro where millions live in shantytowns that teem with homeless children, exploited and sometimes callously murdered.

Study Backs Chasidic Approach to Arranged Marriage

For the past eight years, Robert Epstein, the Harvard-educated Senior Research Psychologist at the American Institute for Behavioral Research and Technology, has studied arranged marriages, interviewing more than 70 people from a variety of backgrounds, including some Orthodox Jewish couples. His findings are in sharp distinction with the current air of suspicion that surrounds the practice of arranged marriage in many democratized societies.

Two-Year-Old Jewish Girl Hit by Car

At around noon today a white Lexus and red Nissan collided as they were heading down Brooklyn Ave. toward the intersection of Empire Blvd. The red Nissan lost control and skid onto the sidewalk in front of the ‘Little feet’ children’s Shoe store, where it struck a 2-year-old Jewish girl.

Court Ruling Leaves R. Braun in Limbo

Vienna Meets London at LSGS

Recently, Year 12 of Lubavitch Senior Girl’s School (LSGS) London welcomed the students of Lauder Chabad Campus (LCC) in Vienna, on the first day of their London tour. During the breakfast, the girls introduced themselves, chatted and quickly realised that although they speak a different language, they had much in common. Two girls discovered that they are second cousins and met for the very first time!
