Vienna Meets London at LSGS

Recently, Year 12 of Lubavitch Senior Girl’s School (LSGS) London welcomed the students of Lauder Chabad Campus (LCC) in Vienna, on the first day of their London tour. During the breakfast, the girls introduced themselves, chatted and quickly realised that although they speak a different language, they had much in common. Two girls discovered that they are second cousins and met for the very first time!

After davening together, Chani Goldstein from LCC spoke about school and Jewish life in Austria, and the London girls were shocked to hear that some days classes in LCC Vienna end at 6pm!

The Vienna students were then given a tour of Lubavitch House School by a German-speaking LSGS student, Lilija Amirvaliyev, and were impressed to discover a swimming pool, see a cooking lesson in the beautifully renovated kitchen and also were taught a unique lesson in Chassidic Philosophy in Ivrit by Dr Loewenthal.

Although the visit was short, the girls hit it off very well and enjoyed meeting other Jewish girls from across the continent.
