Jewish Singles Spend Shabbos in the Amazon

The state of Amazon in Brazil increased its Jewish population by a fifth for three days this past Shabbos, when it hosted a Jewish singles shabbaton in a hotel in the Amazon rainforest. The event was organized by Chabad of Manaus, Amazon’s largest city, and attracted people from across Brazil and other South American countries (Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay), who flew in for the amazing event. It even drew attention from singles in Miami, New York, and Israel. One person even flew in from Trinidad and Tobago.

Following is a list of 35 Crown Heights Shuls which will be hosting such an event on Shabbos afternoon.

The students spent part of the day in regular Oholei Torah classrooms, had a reunion brunch and went bowling!
