Teens Make Special “Peace Menorahs” for IDF Soldiers
The Chabad-Lubavitch of Teaneck teen club gathered for a hands-on lesson of peace and tolerance by assembling Chanukah menorahs for soldiers in the Israel Defense Forces that included spent bullet casings in the construction. “A bullet, which is a symbol of warfare and oppression,” said Rabbi Michoel Goldin of Chabad of Teaneck, “was used to create a menorah, a symbol of peace and freedom.”

The fact that there are no official campus Shluchim at Yeshiva University does not mean that there is no Chassidus. The student-run Chabad Club at Stern College for Women has been extremely busy this semester with events such as trips to the Ohel, weekly Tanya classes, and guest lecturers.

In a heartwarming show of support hundreds were on hand at the Young Israel of Lawrence Cedarhurst to reflect on his life as well as celebrate the endless good that has been done in his merit since his passing three and a half years ago.
