NYPD Annouces the Appointment of New Dept. Chief

Police Commissioner Raymond W. Kelly announced today the appointment of Philip Banks III as the NYPD’s new Chief of Department. The 26-year veteran of the force and its current Chief of Community Affairs will be officially installed as the Department’s highest ranking uniformed officer in promotion ceremonies at Police Headquarters.

Ulyanovsk Prepares for Pesach

March 25th at sundown begins the holiday of Pesach. The Jewish community in Ulyanovsk is in full swing preparing for Pesach. Much has been done. Every member of the community is involved in cleaning and getting rid of Chametz. After cleaning the kitchen in the cafe, the kitchen was Kashered and lined with silver foil.

Europe’s Traveling Matzah Bakery

Following their Purim programs’ amazing success, Morasha organized a model Matzah bakery which traveled to many countrys in Europe including Switzerland, France and Germany. Together with local Shluchim hundreds of children participated.

Alternate Side Parking Suspended Tuesday – Friday

Alternate side parking (street cleaning) regulations will be suspended Tuesday through Friday, March 26-29 for Passover and other holiday celebrations. All other regulations, including parking meters, remain in effect.
