Lubavitch Yeshiva of Monsey announced this week the appointment of Rabbi Aryeh Hoffman as the new Magid Shiur for Shiur Aleph Mesivta. Rabbi Hoffman will be taking on this new position for the upcoming year.

This year 63 Mitzvah ‘Tanks’ will roll through the streets of Brooklyn and Manhattan, in honor of the Rebbe’s 63 years of leadership and his 111th birthday. Fervent preparations are underway to have the Tanks ready for tomorrow morning.

Visiting for a Wedding, Teacher Gives Deaf Bochurim a Paris Tour
A group of Bochurim, including American, English, Belgian and Israeli, all studying in Yeshivas Nefesh Dovid in Toronto, which caters to deaf Yeshiva students and enables them to thrive, visited Paris to take part in the wedding of Isser Lubecki, their Yeshiva-mate and friend.

1st Time, Former British Chief Rabbi Visits Brazil
For his first time, the former British Chief Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks made a trip to Brazil where he visited the Sephardi Community Center Beit Jaacob Safra. He was accompanied by Shliach and Cheif Rabbi Dovid Weitman.

Duh! Manslaughter Charges Added to Killer Driver
A Brooklyn grand jury has indicted the hit-and-run driver who killed an expectant couple and their unborn child on three counts of manslaughter, the Brooklyn District Attorney said today.
