NYC DOH Recommends Changes to Measles Vaccine
Yesterday, the New York City Department of Health issued an alert regarding the outbreak of Measles in the Jewish communities. To date 28 cases have been reported. In light of this the DOH has recommended changing administering the first dose of the vaccine to 6-months to all children living in Crown Heights, Williamsburg and Boro Park.

2 Girls Attacked in 2 Incidents – Police Investigating as Possible Hate Crime
Two young Beis Rivka students were beaten and had glass bottles thrown at them in two separate incidents as they were walking home from school. In one of the attacks the assailants – two teenage girls – called the victim a ‘dirty Jew’.

Parents of 6-Year-Old Terror Victim Visit Rebbes Room
Visiting New York to raise money for security of their school, Rabbi Yaakov Monsonego, the principal of the Ohr Hatorah school in Toulouse France, who also lost his 6-year-old daughter Miriam in the infamous terror attack last year, stopped by the Rebbes room with his wife.
Comissioner Orders More Manpower to Curb Violence
In response to a bloody weekend of gun violence that claimed the lives of seven people and left least 26 others wounded, the city police commissioner announced he would step up foot patrols in housing projects, increase plain clothes detectives in anti-crime units, add surveillance towers and monitor gang activity to curb retaliatory shooting, a police spokesman said.
