Over 1000 Turn Out for KSCVK’s MBD Concert
Well over 1,000 men turned out in support of Keren Simchas Chosson V’Kallah for their annual auction fundraiser. The event featured a special performance by Mordechai Ben David, the Shira Choir and the Freilach band.

L.A. Jewish Center Mural Vandalized
Security cameras at a Los Angeles Chabad center captured two separate incidents of vandals defacing a mural at the SoCal Arbeter Ring/Workmen’s Circle building in the Pico-Robertson neighborhood this week. The Chabad is located across the street from the Workman’s Circle, and the actions were recorded as part of the Chabad’s routine surveillance.

Weekly Living Torah Video: News from the Inside
As the world this week focuses on Russia, this week’s Living Torah program circles around a 1968 visit to the Rebbe by Rabbi Yehuda Levin, the Chief Rabbi of Moscow. Rabbi Levin, who was accompanied on his official visit by a Soviet Government “minder,” had a Yechidus with the Rebbe. The meeting was recorded, and is presented on the program.
Pavilion of Torah Learning Dedicated
Yerachmeal and Rivka Leah Jacobson dedicated a pavilion area in the Oholei Torah elementary division in memory of their departed fathers, R’ Betzalel Jacobson, whose first Yahrtzeit was on the day of the dedication, and R’ Shloma Shmuel Arye Capland, an Ish Chinuch.
This Weekend: KSCVK Hosts 13th Auction Extravaganza!
This weekend Keren Simchas Chosson V’Kallah will be hosting their 13th Annual Benefit Auction, benefiting the hundreds of Kallahs and Chassanim they help every year. This Motzai Shabbos Mordechai Ben David will headline their men’s event with a special concert, and the Sunday women’s event will feature Israeli singing sensation Leah Moyal.
Chassidim Get Involved to Help Keep the Kolel Open
Kolel Menachem, one of the only moisdos founded by the Rebbe and now bears his name, launched a fundraising campaign to help keep its doors open and the electricity on. Thanks to the involvement of community members an anonymous donor pledged up to $50,000 to match whatever is donated.
