Family, Friends and community members gathered to mark the Shloshim – thirty days since the passing of Reb Yosef Raksin who was gunned down Shabbos morning as he was walking to Shul in N. Miami Beach, FL.

Video: Deaf Jewish Boys Enjoy Summer of a Lifetime
A special summer camp for Jewish boys who are deaf, the only one of its kind in the world, recently concluded, with campers returning home inspired and exhilarated. The camp was conceived and directed by Rabbi Yehoshua Soudakoff, who is himself deaf, and did not have the opportunity to attend such a camp when he was a child.

A gathering will be held tonight to commemorate the Shloshim of Rabbi Yosef Raksin, HYD, a Crown Heights resident who was brutally murdered on the streets of North Miami Beach while walking to Shul Shabbos morning.

JNet Launches Live Class Learning Campaign

A project of JNet, the Chavrusa match-making organization, the campaign provides a Sicha of the Rebbe said on Chai Elul to be learned b’chavrusa, followed by a three-question online review.

This Wednesday, the 15th of Elul (September 10), there will be a rally at the Ohel for all children ages 5 to 12 featuring arts and crafts, games and an amazing program. Buses will leave 770 at 5:00pm and return at 7:45pm. Transportation will cost $3.

Chabad HQ Clarifies: No Political Endorsements
Chabad-Lubavitch headquarters today released a statement that, in contrast to a banner for Rubain Dorancy with a backdrop of the Kinus Hashluchim group portrait, they do not endorse political candidates and have not authorized use of the photo for his campaign.

Shabbos Paraglide Returns to Tel Aviv Beaches
In recent years, beachgoers in Tel Aviv had been accustomed to an aerial campaign promoting Shabbos. A paraglider would soar up and down the Mediterranean coast on Friday afternoons announcing that week’s candle lighting time.
