Federal Court Rules against MBP Regulations

On Friday, the Federal Appeals Court ruled on a motion challenging the New York City regulation on metzitzah b’peh and informed consent. The court ruled that the regulation “…targets a religious practice for special burdens” and therefore violated the First Amendment guarantee of a person’s right to free exercise of religion.

As the summer draws to a close, bochurim attending the Yeshiva Summer Program in Morristown, NJ bid farewell at the grand banquet to their newly-found friends and dedicated counselors and teachers. The next morning they packed their luggage and boarded the buses which would take them back home.

9-Year-Old Attacked, Man Maced in Two Separate Incidents

A Jewish boy was attacked on President Street by a group of 4 black teenagers, the assault bore striking similarities to last night’s incident. A Jewish man was assaulted on Nostrand Avenue by 4 or 5 black men, one of them sprayed the victim with mace.
