Hundreds of Jews across the island of Montreal were able to shake the Lulav and Esrog on Chol HaMoed Sukkos thanks to an environmentally friendly alternative to the traditional Sukkahmobile.

12-Year-Old Crown Heights Girl Latest ‘Knockout’ Victim
A 12-year-old girl in Crown Heights is the latest victim of a knockout attack. The girl’s father says his daughter was simply walking back from the grocery store on East New York Avenue Tuesday night when a man on a bike attacked her.

3 Israeli Hikers Killed, 1 Missing in Nepal Avalanches
At least 39 people were killed after a blizzard triggered avalanches on a mountain hiking trail in Nepal. Among the victims are three Israelis who were killed and another who is still missing. Search and rescue workers are still searching for an additional 20 missing hikers.

At a Chol Hamoed Sukkos event in Sheepshead Bay, two Bochurim doing Mivtzoim at the event discovered that one of the entertainers was Jewish. He eagerly agreed to perform the Mitzvah of shaking the Lulav and Esrog.

Assault on Jewish Woman Prevented by Nearby Shuls
At around 12:30pm on Shabbos afternoon, a melee broke out on the corner of Albany Avenue and Crown Street as the congregants of several Shuls in the vicinity rushed outside to the sounds of a Jewish woman’s blood-curling screams.

Lubavitcher Arrested for Spilling Oil, Injuring Pedestrians
A Crown Heights man was arrested Erev Yom Tov for committing an act of vandalism that injured a number of people. Police have charged Gilad Bazel with criminal mischief for pouring oil on the sidewalk near the Basil restaurant.
