Miami Beach Children Craft Own Shofars
This past Monday was full of excitement at the JLC-Chabad in Miami Beach, as the annual Shofar Factory was back again. Over 150 people attended this wonderful event.

Children’s Shofar Factory Comes to Southern NJ
Chabad of Gloucester County gave children a hands-on lesson about the Jewish new year Sunday afternoon with a demonstration that taught children how to make their own shofars.

Chabad Teens Run Summer Camp During Ukraine War
For a month this summer the sounds of laughter, Chasidic pop tunes and classic Jewish camp chants could be heard coming from an obscure campground in the Zhytomir region in Western Ukraine. In the region mired by war and conflict, Camp Yeka, short for Yekatrinoslav (as Dnepropetrovsk, the city where the camp was originally located, was formerly known) provided a fun respite to Jewish children living in the embattled Eastern European country.

Hurricane Odile has wrecked havoc on the glittery beach destination of Cabo San Lucas, Baja California, Mexico. Chabad Shluchim Rabbi Benny and Sonia Hershcovich, who have been serving the community diligently throughout the ordeal, are out of communication and need serious assistance.

Belgian Synagogue Hit By Arson Attack
A woman and two children were treated for smoke inhalation at a local hospital on Tuesday following an early morning fire that broke out on the fourth floor of a synagogue in Anderlecht, located in southern Brussels, Belgium. The synagogue is led by Rabbi Menachem Hadad, Chief Rabbi of Brussels and a Chabad emissary.

A school bus driver in the East Ramapo School District was arrested for allegedly dropping off young students of the Cheder Chabad of Monsey on a busy road almost a mile away from their bus stop.

1,000+ Montreal Women at ‘Mega Challah Bake’
It was the hottest event in town with tickets completely sold out and community members trying to frantically secure a place last minute, and what an event it was! Mega Challah Bake 2014 was a tremendous, inspiring, life changing experience. One thousand women from all walks of Jewish life from every community in Montreal packed into one room, all there to do the Mitzvah of baking Challah, and hundreds more watching live from their homes.
