Photos: Thousands Begin Descending on the Ohel
As the sun set Thursday night lines to get into the Ohel began lengthening as thousands of men, women and children began making their way to the Ohel to mark Gimmel Tammuz.
Over 1000 at Central Gimmel Tammuz Farbrengen
Over 1000 Anash and Bochurim packed into Beis Rivkah’s Rosa Hall in Campus Chomesh for a Farbrengen in honor of Gimmel Tammuz.
Torah Welcomed to Its New Home in Medford
Dozens of people gathered in the Chabad Jewish Community Center in Medford, NJ, this past Sunday to celebrate the completion of a brand new Sefer Torah. It was the first time in history that a Torah had been completed in Medford, a suburb of Philadelphia that has never had a large Jewish presence.

Lakein Family Completes Torah in Parents Memory
Hundreds gathered this afternoon to participate in the completion of a brand new Sefer Torah in memory of the Rabbi Shlomo and Miriam Lakein OBM. The new Torah, organized by their children, was completed in their home on Montgomery Street and with lively music it was brought to Darchai Menachem where it will be used.

Maryland Jewish Community Sees Remarkable Growth
Bethesda, Maryland, a suburb of Washington, D.C., is one of the most affluent and highly educated communities in the United States. In 2014 it placed first in Forbes list of America’s most educated small towns and first on CNNMoney’s list of top-earning American towns in 2012. The large local Jewish population of professionals, lobbyists, and academics is highly secularized, and one would expect Chabad’s message of traditional Judaism to be a hard sell in the progressive community.

A family has donated a new Sefer Torah to the Chabad Center of Bergen County in northern New Jersey, directed by Rabbi Chanoch Kaplan, in honor of their son’s Bar Mitzvah.

On Monday Chof Ches Sivan, June 15, a crowd of two thousand people, members of the Argentinian Jewish community, and their dignitaries, gathered at La Rural, one the most prominent exhibition center in South America, for an evening of inspiration and connection to the Rebbe.

Rock Thrown at Bochurim Traveling from Detroit
A rock was thrown at a bus carrying Yeshiva students who travelled overnight from Detroit to spend Gimmel Tammuz at the Ohel.
