On Friday night, January 31st, more than 1200 Trojans will dine al fresco at the University of Southern California, where the day’s forecast is a balmy 80. The West Coast’s largest annual Shabbat dinner brings together Jewish undergrad and graduate students at this prestigious research university. Four giant tents, set up in the parking lot of Sigma Pi, a neighboring fraternity, will feature 120 round tables and dozens of spare chairs.
The sixth installment in the Likkut Maanos Kodesh series has been released. The Likut covers the year 5747, and which includes 276 Maanos or answers from the Rebbe. Many of the maanos are printed here for the first time.
As we continue in our preparation to Yud Shevat, Shnas Hashivi’im, I would like share what I said this week in a farbrengen for mesivta bochurim. It is also a response to some of the feedback I received concerning last weeks’ story.
With great sadness we report the passing of Mrs. Miriam Popack OBM, a long time Crown Heights resident. She passed away on Friday, the 5th of Shvat, 5780.
This past Sunday brought thousands of parents and children to Jungle Island in Miami for Family Adventure Day. The event brought together families from all the local Yeshivos and Talmud Torahs, as well as many visitors that came from all over the world to enjoy their vacation in Florida for a day of sun and fun.
As we will be celebrating 70 years of the Rebbe’s Nesius this Yud Shevat, the Yeshiva in Morristown together with Chabad Lubavitch of New Jersey, decided that there is no better way to mark 70 years and bring the Rebbe Nachas Ruach, other than a Mitzvah Tank Parade.
