Captain Rabbi Lazer Danzinger, Staff Officer Division Chaplain in the Canadian armed forces, stands near the Chanukah Menorah situated outside the 4th Canadian Division Headquarters in Toronto on Monday, the 6th day of Chanukah.
Chabad of the Valley’s Chanukah at CityWalk once again lived up to its reputation, having been acknowledged as amongst the largest Chanukah events in the world. This year, thousands flocked to the plaza at Universal Studios CityWalk for the annual event which for many has become the highlight of the eight day Chanukah Holiday.
On Sunday night, the 6th night of Chanukah, a big Chanukah festival was held at the Giant Menorah at Golders Green Station in London, UK. This Menorah was the first Public Menorah in London, being lit for the 31st year.
As the last night of Chanukah drew near, the spirit and warmth of the holiday was evident in Oholei Torah, as the talmidim from grades pre-1a – thru 7th joined for a rally of Torah, Avodah and Gemilus Chassodim.
Hallandale Beach came alive last night, Wednesday, the 22nd of December, the seventh night of Chanukah, with the Sounds of vibrant Jewish Music. Over 10,000 people, on three floors and three balconies of the overflowing Gulfstream Park and Casino, from all walks of life, observant and not, participated.
The annual International Tanach competition just concluded at the Binyanei Haumah in Jeruslaem. Crown Heights resident and Lubavitcher Chossid Alex Heppenheimer competed in the event, coming in second place after winner Chananel Malka.
