Yesterday we visited Forsbacka, Sweden, 190 km north of Stockholm. There is only one known Jewish inhabitant there, but past experiences have proven that it’s quality over quantity. Our time in Forsbacka was no exception.

To many, the Middle East has long been recognized as the world’s pulse and epicenter for historical conflict and present-day empowerment. There have been many battles waged within its lands, from before the crusades to the ongoing wars and strife of today. The desert landscape of Israel and its environs seem to have always been tempered with conflict, if even for little reason.

Nshei Chabad Gather in Sydney for 17th Convention

Women from all over Australia gathered at Chabad of North Shore in Sydney this past Rosh Chodesh Elul for the 17th Annual Nshei uBnos Chabad Convention. The convention theme was expressed in the pasuk from the Rebbe’s Kapital, “Wisdom begins with the fear of G-d, it is sound intelligence for all its practitioners: (thus) a person’s praise will endure forever.” (Tehillim 111:10).
