CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — Significant changes are afoot for Bochurim traveling to Crown Heights for the upcoming month of the high holidays. A number of Yeshivos in Israel got together and are putting together a proper program for Hachnosas Orchim along with studies together with the Vaad Talmidai Hatmimim.

Tell Them Change Has Come To Crown Heights

Summer’s over and here comes the rush. Soon we’ll be seeing excited children in shiny new shoes and highschoolers in perfect uniform (for once!). Maybe it’s only because I know to look for them, but I also see the girls — the ones who are just as I was — dragging themselves around, dreading the start of another school year. There is only frustration and fear.

Police on the scene in Brooklyn where a failed bank robber was nabbed in a wild chase.

BOROUGH PARK [CHI] — An Apple Bank was just robbed at gun point in Boro Park. The branch, located on 13th Avenue and 46th Street, was robbed by two perpetrators, and one may be in custody.
