Yeshivos and Vaad to Host Bochurim for Tishrei
CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — Significant changes are afoot for Bochurim traveling to Crown Heights for the upcoming month of the high holidays. A number of Yeshivos in Israel got together and are putting together a proper program for Hachnosas Orchim along with studies together with the Vaad Talmidai Hatmimim.
The Yeshivos include Lod, Kiriyat Gat, Rechovot, Kfar Chabad, and Migdal Haemek who together reached out to the Vaad and asked them to join them in making the visit to the Rebbe a more positive experience, and in a proper Chassidishe atmosphere.
This year in addition to its regular programing the Vaad will be assisting the Yeshivos in securing places for the Bochurim to stay.
One of those places is a house on Union Street next door to the old Mikvah which was purchased with the intention of expanding 770, but for the time being will play home to visiting Bochurim. This is being provided by Rabbi Yehuda Krinsky at the request of the Vaad.
When purchased the building was in terrible condition, which rendered it uninhabitable, but thanks to Yossi Popack it is now being seriously renovated, with thanks to Schneur Minsky as well.
Rabbi Yitzchok Mishan, the Rov of the Brazilian Jewish Community and local Shliach, has donated new beds, mattresses and linen for the building once the renovation is completed.
In addition to the house there will be a number of freshly renovated basements that are being sponsored by various landlords in the neighborhood.
“This will be the first time that our guests will be treated properly and with dignity” said one of the organizers, adding that “in the past the accommodations were less then accommodating, this is one thing that will change with clean air conditioned rooms.”
Organizers are expecting to accommodate hundreds of guests during the month of Tishrei.

And the Hachnosis Orchim building on Kingston? What’s happening with that space? Or is it really just going to be a hotel under the guise of a “moisad”?

Wow!!!
This is a big step closer to bringing things to normalcy in CH over Tishrei. Bochurim won’t be roaming the alleys as much. More importantly they won’t be forced into an environment that they don’t want to be a part of

and how about donating the thousands or millions of dollars to help our local mosdos chinuch tzedaka and the like

how about a handbook about how to handle guests? every year that alot of us take in the girls and bocherim we have problems, with how they use our keys, who they bring in, how long they stay, etc, etc.
lets have US treated right. Tell THEM how to behave before we host them. we deserve the consideration
you want it you can have it
very good suggestion write one post it and distribute it
