New York Artists Memorialize Mumbai Attacks Through Song

Putting an East Village touch on the first anniversary of the terror attacks in Mumbai, India, approximately 100 Jewish New Yorkers packed a room at the city’s Meaningful Life Center to memorialize the lives of slain Chabad-Lubavitch emissaries Rabbi Gavriel and Rivka Holtzberg through music and contemplative lyrics.

A King of Real Estate, Fallen on Harder Times

Through the real estate boom, few new developers filled the city with luxury condominiums as fast as Shaya Boymelgreen. He turned Wall Street corner offices into minimalist bachelor lairs, built TriBeCa apartments snapped up by celebrities like Gwyneth Paltrow and crowded the edges of Park Slope, Brooklyn, with condos.

14th of Kislev: “This is the day that bound me to you, and you to me”

On the 14th of Kislev, 1928, the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, married Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka Schneersohn (1901-1988), the middle daughter of Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn (1880-1950), the sixth Rebbe of Chabad-Lubavitch.
