Shluchim Online School Student Retreat

BROOKLYN, NY [CHI] — The shluchim office is pleased to announce a regional Shluchim Online School Student Retreat for young Shluchim in South and Central America.

The regional online school event will be held Iyar 24 (May 29) thru Sivan 2 (June 5), 5768 (2008) in Baranquilla, Colombia, and is being organized by The Shluchim Office and the Shliach of Baranquilla, Rabbi & Mrs. Yossi Liberow.

BALTIMORE, MD [CHI] — Yeshivas Lubavitch of Baltimore held a parade on the main road, Park Heights Ave, leading thru the Jewish comunity. 200 people participated, magic juggling show by Michael Rossman, guest speaker Rabbi Shmuel Kaplan, Head Shliach of Maryland, and the was MC HaTomim Eliezer Dovid New.

New Shluchim To Ontario

Rabbi Moishy and Rivky (nee Lepkivker) Goldman will IYH be moving on Shlichus to Waterloo, ON where they will establish a new Chabad House serving the local communities of Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge and Guelph, as well as the campuses of the University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University.

The new Shluchim were appointed by Rabbi Zalman Aaron Grossbaum, Executive Director of Chabad Lubavitch of Ontario.

MONTREAL, Canada — Montreal’s Friendship Circle, a branch of an international Chabad-Lubavitch network that pairs teenage volunteers with children with special needs, broke ground on Canada’s first fully-functioning indoor city and activities center for children with special needs.

JLI’s Talmudic Ethics Lesson 3

With JLI’s spring semester, Talmudic Ethics, now underway we are pleased to bring you the weekly video produced to open this weeks class. Over 250 shluchim around the world are teaching Lesson Three this week to almost 13,000 students in what’s being described as JLI’s largest attendance ever. The course is CLE and CME accredited, attracting scores of attorneys and doctors around the country.
