Crown Heights, Brooklyn — This morning at Lefferts Park, the Friendship circle came together to watch the Crown Heights Softball league. The players gave them autographs and had a special game with them.

Miami Beach, FL – Bochurim who have been studying in the ‘Miami Smicha Program’ under Rabbi Yisroel Frankforter for the past year, were tested by Rabbi Yitzchak Yehudah Yeruslavski on the Halochos of Shabbos. The Bochurim displayed great knowledge and all passed the test.

For the myriads of Bochurim anticipating to spend Gimmel Tamuz in the Rebbe’s daled amos, a first time program awaits them.
A special “Yom Iyun”, a day of in-depth learning of the vast Torah of the Rebbe, is being coordinated by Vaad Talmidei Hatmimim. It will extend throughout the afternoon and evening of Beis Tamuz the eve of Gimmel Tamuz.

Crown Heights, Brooklyn — A special all year round Chassidus Shiur has been going for a few months now. The Shiur is given by Rabbi Michoel Seligson for men every Monday evening from 8:30pm to 9:30pm in English, and the Shiur takes place in Getzels Shul on Kingston between Carroll and President Streets.
The Shiur is given on a variety of Maamorim. Included here is an audio recording of one of the Shiurim which was given on the Maamor ‘Lehovin Inyan Matan Torah – 5715’.

West S. Paul, MN — Friends of Lubavitch of Minnesota from around the world recently celebrated the70th birthday of Rabbi Moshe Feller, Shliach of the Rebbe to the Upper Midwest. Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty issued a proclamation proclaiming the birthday as “Rabbi Moshe Feller Day” in recognition of the great work that he does. In an effort spearheaded by Mrs. Y. Introlegator people donated to Upper Midwest Merkos Chabad Lubavitch in multiples of seventy.

Riverside, CA — Since the National Committee for Furtherance of Jewish Education (NCFJE) announced the sponsorship of the Dr. Liviu Librescu Memorial Lecture Series on April 18th, thirty Chabad campus Rabbis have received grants to host lectures highlighting the phenomenon of self-sacrifice, particularly as demonstrated throughout the Holocaust and times of crisis.

In his op-ed in Haaretz on June 1 (“God as surgeon”), Prof. Yehuda Bauer refers to the opinion of the late Lubavitcher Rebbe regarding the Holocaust.
Without responding to his unwarranted, unacademic, personal attacks against the Rebbe, I think that Bauer gravely misunderstood the nuances and delicate concepts that the Rebbe was conveying in his 1980 letter to Knesset member Chaika Grossman.
