Lag BaOmer Parade in Nassau County

Mineola, NY — Under the leadership of Rabbi Anchelle Perl, Long Island New York, joined the worldwide list of parades in honor of Lag BaOmer. Hundreds of children and their parents gathered from the Chabad Hebrew Schools of Nassau County on Meadowbrook Rd in North Merrick, NY.

Chabad.org Launches Jewish Story Time

Chabad.org just launched a new section bringing the timeless stories from Dial-A-Jewish-Story of the “Dialing Age” to the “i-Pod Generation”… Enjoy (we know that inner child always missed those stories… so go for it, it’s just a click away – we won’t tell!).

The new “Jewish Story Time” section has been added to the Kids Zone. These short audio clips are taken from the ever popular and timeless “Dial-a-Jewish-Story” service of Tzivos Hashem that for over 15 years has been making these stories available via telephone.

Woodley Park, CA — At the recent Israeli Freedom Day celebration, over 3000 women received decorative tins containing tools for an important mitzvah that’s been passed on for generations. The special tins were FridayLight starter kits, and they held the chance for women to rekindle an important Jewish tradition.

Lag BaOmer in Kharkov, Ukraine

Kharkov, Ukraine — For over 70 years the Jews of the former Soviet Union were denied the right to practice their religion openly. Even after the fall of communism, those same Jews longed to see a proper Lag B’Omer Parade as they had seen in pictures. After days of building, painting and organizing, those dreams came true.
