
Lag BaOmer Parade in Nassau County
Mineola, NY — Under the leadership of Rabbi Anchelle Perl, Long Island New York, joined the worldwide list of parades in honor of Lag BaOmer. Hundreds of children and their parents gathered from the Chabad Hebrew Schools of Nassau County on Meadowbrook Rd in North Merrick, NY.

All the children joined in saying the 12 pesukim and paraded with special flags and sign made especially that morning under the leadership of the teachers and school principal Mrs Devorah Leah Kosofsky.
The parade concluded with dancing and a special release of hundreds of balloons attached with the names of all the 32 names of those killed at Virginia Tech. Also Rabbi explained the special lesson to be learnt from Professor Livia Lobrescu who gave up his own life will saving others, by holding up the door while students jumped out the window.
“We were so thrilled and felt so proud to be Jewish”, said Joan Hande. “We should such parades every week! Go Chabad Go!!!”
