FREE Publishing House, the publishing arm of Friends of Refuges of Eastern Europe, has just released its newest publication, a new edition of the Hebrew/Russian Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur Machzorim.

The publishing of these new Maczorim was a joint project of the SHAMIR organization in Jerusalem and the FREE Publishing House in Brooklyn, NY.

The arrival of these new Maczorim is expected to create a more meaningful synagogue experience for tens of thousands of Russian readers, says Professor Herman Branover, Editor-in-chief of SHAMIR. Shipments of more than 10,000 Machzorim will arrive to Chabad Houses and Russian synagogues worldwide just in time for the High Holidays.

Today, the city of Tucson welcomed a group of shluchim to lead its yeshiva and further Jewish awareness in the local community. They bring with them a wealth of knowledge, excitement and a strong desire to spread the Rebbe’s message throughout the city. “I’m really looking to the upcoming year,” said Ephraim Zimmerman.

Yeshiva High School of Tucson is about to begin its fourth year under the new leadership of Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Tzali Wilschanski. The Yeshiva in Tucson is nestled in the heart of the city against a backdrop of sweeping mountains.
