Bernardino Mountains exploded with color and light in celebration of Independence Day. The campers also have cause to celebrate as one of the most unique summer camps on the West Coast strives to make 2007 a truly spectacular summer.

With a sold-out crowd of over 300 participants, the National Jewish Retreat concluded earlier this week with a feature presentation by the world renowned mind-reader and mentalist Guy Bavli. The final highlight was a crossfire panel of leading authorities on Jewish law debating real life cases brought before Batei Din in the U. S. with active participation from the crowd debating the merits of each side.

Orange County, NY — The pioneer campers of Camp Gan Israel held a charity car wash recently. Many vehicles pulled into the camp parking lot in Washingtonville and left clean and sparkling.

“Half the proceeds will go to charity, and half will help benefit a special bunk night out,” explains Odeya Pinkus, 11, of Sugar Loaf, as she scrubbed the wheels of a black Avalon.
