Chabad on Campus Grows in Leaps and Bounds

Chabad on Campus centers have been growing in leaps and bounds over the past decade, both in the increasing number of schools served and the added Jewish programs offered. In the past year, 14 new couples have started Chabad centers, with many others buying, renovating or building new facilities that welcome students, faculty, community members and visitors.

Jewish Ferndale Gets in the Groove

Ferndale, Michigan is experiencing a revival, and newly inaugurated Jewish Ferndale is leading the way. Only eight miles from downtown Detroit, the formerly quiet town is now booming with restaurants, bars and festivals “twice as funky as the average,” according to Funky Ferndale. Real estate mavens predict “a fabulous future.” With a recently renovated building, innovative programming and a dynamic community, the Jewish community center is keeping up with the local trends.

90-Year-Old to Be Circumcised in Ukraine

In the coming days, a historic circumcision ceremony will take place in the new Jewish medical center in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine, with the participation of the city’s Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminetzki. A 90-year-old member of the community will be circumcised at the center, with the professional assistance of prominent local doctors.
