JNet Launches Live Class Learning Campaign

In honor of Chai Elul, all are invited to participate in a learning campaign, with the chance to win big prizes. A project of JNet, the Chavrusa match-making organization, the campaign provides a Sicha of the Rebbe said on Chai Elul to be learned b’chavrusa, followed by a three-question online review.

Wednesday: Rally at the Ohel

This Wednesday, the 15th of Elul (September 10), there will be a rally at the Ohel for all children ages 5 to 12 featuring arts and crafts, games and an amazing program. Buses will leave 770 at 5:00pm and return at 7:45pm. Transportation will cost $3.

‘Shalom Aleichem’ in Memory of Slain 4-Year-Old

This Shabbos, our hearts and thoughts will turn to remembering Daniel Tregerman, OBM. This innocent four-year-old boy was killed by a mortar shell fired by Hamas at Nahal Oz, near the Gaza strip. At his funeral, his grandfather tearfully spoke of how much his little grandson loved “Shalom Aleichem” and then, in a voice cracked with pain, the grandfather slowly sang the lovely melody.

Released Time to Host Conference in Queens

With the coming school year on the horizon, Released Time program is happy to announce that it will I”YH be hosting a conference this upcoming Labor Day, September 1st.  It will be taking place in Queens, with the focus being to give the weekly instructors an opportunity to unite and revitalize.

Crowdsourcing Mitzvos for Israel

With the war raging in Israel, Jews around the world are contributing in every way they can. Following the Rebbe’s call, as far back as 1967, to increase especially in specific Mitzvos, Chabad.org launched a campaign where visitors can pledge a mitzvah, with a goal of reaching 25,000 Mitzvos.
