Reminder: Alternate Side Parking Rules Suspended Saturday, December 30 through Monday, January 1

Alternate side parking regulations are suspended on Saturday, December 30 through Monday, January 1 for holiday observance. Parking meter regulations are in effect on Saturday, December 30 but are suspended on Sunday, December 31. Because New Year’s Day is a major legal holiday, parking meter regulations are also suspended on Monday, January 1. On major legal holidays, stopping, standing, and parking are permitted, except in areas where stopping, standing, and parking rules are in effect 7 days a week (for example, “No Standing Anytime”).

Crown Heights Night at the Maccabees!

Due to exceptionally high demand, Maccabees will be running this Motzei Shabbos at the Jewish Children’s Museum exclusively for the Crown Heights Community. From tonight on in ‘Shmoneh Esreh’ we begin saying ‘Veten Tal Umatar Livracha’ in the Brocho of ‘Boreich Alienu’.

R. Yosef Simcha Ginzburg, Rav of Omer says that we do not stop during Davening to announce this change, we only knock on the Bimah as a reminder. If one forgot and remembers at the next Tefillah he is to say the Amidah twice, one for the Tefillah at hand and the second for the one before.

Alternate side parking (street cleaning) regulations are suspended on Thursday, November 27 for the observance of Thanksgiving Day. Because Thanksgiving Day is a major legal holiday, parking meter regulations are also suspended. On major legal holidays, stopping, standing, and parking are permitted, except in areas where stopping, standing, and parking rules are in effect 7 days a week (for example, “No Standing Anytime”).

The Friday after Thanksgiving, November 28, is not a holiday, and alternate side parking regulations, parking meter rules, and all other parking regulations will be in effect. .

This Monday, Tes vov Chesven, November 6th there will be a rally at the Ohel for children ages 5 to 12.

How wonderful it was this year to celebrate Simchas Beis Hashoeva once more as a united community – thanks to the blessed initiative of the Vaad Hakahal of Crown Heights!

Every evening, thousands of Crown Heights residents and guests who were here for Tishre came to rejoice in unity with true Ahavas Yisroel. On Chol Hamoed, many thousands of Jews came from other neighborhoods to participate in and enjoy the Simchas Yom Tov, which has become renowned throughout the greater New York area, making it a great Kiddush Hashem.
