The missing pages are 284 (English Side), 285 (Both Sides), 286 (Hebrew Side).

Please know for yourself, or to instruct your congregation BEFORE Shemoneh Esrei begins, to go to another Elokai Nitzor (such as page 18), and a complete Avinu Malkeinu (page 152).

Alternatively, you can make photocopies beforehand.

We sent this notice out as soon as we became aware of the error, and apologize for the inconvenience this is causing.

During Krias Shema at bedtime on Tonight Tuesday, Tachanun is recited.

A mourner who is sitting Shiva RL is allowed to go to Shul during the day to recite Selichos, and to Daven with the congregation.

During Selichos, Tachaunu (Viduy) is recited, even after dawn but not during Davening.

In the Piyut, “Merubim tzarchei amcha,” Nusach Lita is to say the verse, “Vesaitiv lanu hakesiva vehachasimah,” and this was corrected by hand in one of the first editions of Kehos (soft cover), and this is apparently the correct version.

TONIGHT: Kinus ‘Bruchim Ha’boim’

This evening, Monday, iy”h, a ‘Bruchim Ha’boim’ evening will welcome all the guests from the world over, that came to spend Tishrei in the Rebbe’s court. Hosted by the Vaad Talmidei Hatmimim.

A full and beautiful program is planned, including speakers Rabbi Leibel Schapiro, Rosh Yeshivah in Miami Beach. Rabbi Yoel Kahn, the Rebbe’s Choizer. There will be welcoming greetings from a member of the Badatz of Crown Heights and of the International Agudas Chasidei Chabad. Guest Speaker will be Rabbi Mendel Groner from Yeshivah Tomchei Tmimim in Kiryat Gat, Israel.

As the Yomim Tovim are fast approaching and all of us are preparing our Yom Tov needs, including buying food, clothing, shoes, and everything else. We are appealing to all residents in the crown heights community to look out for those friends, relatives and neighbors who are not as fortunate and may need help to bring their Simcha of the Yomim Tovim to make it as joyous and happy as possible.

SUNDAY: Hachnosas Safer Torah!

This Sunday, September 9th there will be a Siyum Sefer Torah, This Torah was written in loving memory of Sidney and Anita Harris OBM by their grandchildren.

The Siyum will take place at 11:00am at 760 Montgomery St. APT 2D [on the corner of Albany Ave.], followed at 1:00pm by Hakafos and a Tahalucha (Parade) to the Jewish Childrens Museum.

The Torah is going to be placed in the Shul at the Jewish Childrens Museum.

Tow trucks will be going around starting at 4 PM towing and relocating violators.

The intersection of Brooklyn Avenue and Lefferts Avenue has lately become a big source of income for the City of New York, as unsuspecting drivers make an illegal right turn from Brooklyn Ave onto Lefferts Ave.

Monday through Friday between 8:00am and 10:00am then again between 3:00pm and 5:00pm it is illegal to make that right turn. Regardless if it’s a school day or not.

Alternate Side Parking Rules Suspended, July 4

Alternate side parking regulations are suspended on Wednesday, July 4 for holiday observance. Because July 4 is a major legal holiday, parking meter regulations are also suspended. On major legal holidays, stopping, standing, and parking are permitted, except in areas where stopping, standing, and parking rules are in effect 7 days a week (for example, “No Standing Anytime”).
