The Crown Heights JCC has arranged with the Forestry division of the NYC Parks Dept. to have all the S’chach picked up this week starting Wednesday October 10th until the end of the week.
The Parks Dept. vehicles will be going down every block in the community to pick up the S’chach put out in front of your house along the curbside. The vehicles will be going through the community only one time on a route that has not yet been determined. Therefore we do not know which street will be first and which street second, etc.
Please have all s’chach put out at the curb for these days. Please keep the s’chach along the building line until Wednesday.
If you miss this pickup, you may schedule your own pick up by calling 311.

Simchas Torah is primarily a Yom Tov which is celebrated as a family. Fathers dance happily together with their children and the Sifrei Torah.
However, as Chassidim, the Rebbe has taught us the importance of being mesameach other Yidden, and therefore the men and older boys go on Tahalucha, leaving the women and children at home, with little opportunity to participate in any Hakofos.
For this reason, we are making a special Hakofos in 770 where children will be able to experience Hakofos in the Rebbe’s Shul. The Hakofos will only be on Thursday night, thenight of Tahalucha.
• The downstairs Shul will be open for women and children at 7:25p.m. Upon entering the shul women and girls will have the Zechus of kissing the Rebbe’s Sefer Torah, between 7:25pm and 7:40pm.
• Marriv will begin at 7:15pm. After Marriv Kiddush will be made, the children will receive flags, and Hakofos will begin.
• After Hakofos the boys will have the Zechus of kissing the Rebbe’s Sefer Torah.
Early this morning cars that were parked on Kingston Avenue between Empire Boulevard and Eastern Parkway were towed and relocated to alternate locations around the neighborhood, for the street fair organized by Tzivos Hashem today.
If your car was towed it is very likely to be in a few block vicinity of where it was originally parked. If you cannot locate your car you can call the 71st Precinct at (718) 735-0511.

“The objective is to give each and every students a chance to dance with his teachers in a manner befitting for a student of the Lubavitcher Yeshiva” says a spokes person for the Yeshiva. “Yet at the very same time it promises to be exciting and entertaining for all to have a great time. Fathers and brothers are also welcome to join and participate.”

TSA Recognizes the Religious Events of Sukkot
TSA recognizes that the travel period for Sukkot, a significant event for persons of the Jewish faith, begins approximately on September 23, 2007, and ends approximately on October 4, 2007.
TSA’s standard operating procedures do not prohibit the carrying of the four plants – which include a palm branch, myrtle twigs, willow twigs, and a citron through the airport or the security checkpoints, or on aircraft. These plants are not on TSA’s Prohibited Items List.
Alternate side parking regulations is suspended on on Shabbos, September 22 for Yom Kippur. All other regulations, including parking meters, remain in effect.
