Alternate Side Parking Suspended Wednesday & Thursday

Alternate side parking (street cleaning) regulations will be suspended on Wednesday, December 24, 2008, for snow removal. All other regulations, including parking meters, remain in effect. However Thursday, December 25, is a major legal holiday, and parking meter regulations are also suspended. Also on major legal holidays, stopping, standing, and parking are permitted, except in areas where stopping, standing, and parking rules are in effect 7 days a week (for example, “No Standing Anytime”).

Update from the Darchai Menachem Auction

BH Its been busy at Yeshiva Darchai Menachem. Every night of Chanukah another drawing with exciting programs have taken place. On Sunday, the first night of Chanukah Darchai Menachem had a menorah competition like never before. Menorahs were built out of all kinds of things you can ever imagine. “Judging the winner this year was pretty tough” says Rabbi Lieder, one of the judges, “all the boys did a wonderful job”.

SUNDAY: ‘Discover our Treasures’ Exhibit Open to the Public!

After we published the photo gallery of the amazing exhibit Beis Rivkas 12th grade made in honor of Yud Tes Kislev many comments and requests came in asking to open the Exhibit to the public, and the administration agreed.

Today, Sunday, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm there will be shifts every half hour for mothers and children to come and view the exhibits. Boys up to the age of 9 are welcome along with their mothers are welcome as well.

The exhibits are located at 310 Crown Street.

Alternate Side Parking Rules Are Suspended on Friday

The New York City Department of Transportation (DOT) in conjunction with the Department of Sanitation (DSNY) today announced the suspension of Alternate Side Parking (ASP) regulations citywide for Friday, December 19 to facilitate snow removal. However, parking meters will remain in effect throughout the City.

Crown Heights Community Council Presents

Good news for Crown Heights residents: The Crown Heights Community Council is initiating a new project to help all Anash families help themselves financially. The Shalom Center is the place to be on Sunday, 17th of Kislev, at 12:30, for a comprehensive economics course designed to help one and all to float above water, and have financial peace of mind.

This is a Crown Heights Community Project to help Anash. This is a great opportunity for Anash to find out that they can help themselves even when in a lot of trouble. It will help a lot of people if they come and listen to what they can do. It may help individuals deal with maxed out credit cards and some who may be loosing their homes.

Thursday – Rally at the Ohel

This Thursday, December 11th, the 14th of Kislev there will be a rally at the Ohel for all children ages 5-12. Busses leaving at 5:00 pm and returning 7:30 pm. $3.00 for the bus.
