Starting Monday, New York City Transit's new rules of conduct will make it illegal to place your feet on the seat of a bus or train or to jump a turnstile if your MetroCard is not working.
The new rules, approved by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority in September, also make it illegal to walk between subway cars, wear in-line skates, ride a skateboard or straddle a bicycle in the transit system.
