The numerous workshops and sessions to take place on Thursday of the upcoming Kinus Hahsluchim will occur at the Brooklyn Marriott, according to a statement released by the Kinus HaShluchim office. The day will close with a general session at the Marriott, filled with inspiration and encouragement, followed by dinner in Crown Heights.

Shluchim Gather for 39th Annual West Coast Kinus

LOS ANGELES, CA [CHI] — Some 200 Chabad emissaries of The Rebbe gathered this week for the 39th Annual West Coast Chabad Kinus Hashluchim. In 1972 West Coast Chabad launched the very first Kinus Hashluchim with the blessing and encouragement of The Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, and subsequently inspired the creation of the worldwide Kinus Hashluchim in New York. In fact the world’s first Kinus Hashluchim was held at the world’s first “Chabad House”, founded in 1969 at the UCLA university campus in Los Angeles.

Every event has its pinnacle – high point – and for the Shluchos that is when they all get recognized in the annual roll call where each continent, country, state, and city gets an honorary mention. Capping that moment is when the Shluchos join hands and break out in a lively dance.

Producing an event like the Kinus Hashluchos Gala Banquet is no small feat. A crew of over 200 waiters and chefs. Lighting, sound and video along with broadcasting live over the internet make up another 50. This gallery is in recognition of them.

With major airports, schools and businesses all closed due to the third major snow storm of the season, hundreds of shluchos boldly packed buses on the main thoroughfare of Eastern Parkway Thursday morning to take them to the Rebbe’s Ohel.
