The incident happened as the vehicle, driven by a Black male was coming up onto the intersection of Eastern Pkwy from Troy Ave. He saw smoke coming out of his hood, and quickly pulled over and called 911.
CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — Flames lit up the night and smoke billowed out of the boarded up windows of a vacant home one Eastern Parkway. The fire broke out at around 3:30am inside of 1154 Eastern Parkway which is three family home off the corner of Utica Avenue, and there were reports of people trapped on the second floor.
CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] – Last night, Monday, a fire broke out in an apartment on St. Johns Place, just a block away from the local firehouse from which they responded and had the fire under control within minutes.
MONTREAL, Canada [CHI] — Earlier today, Friday at around 12:00pm, a fire broke out in the top floor of a duplex condo housing a Lubavitcher family on Carlton Avenue in Montreal.

LONDON, England [CHI] – The Lubavitch Mikvah in London, under the directorship of Rabbi Levi Sudak, went up in flames this afternoon, after a fire broke out due to an electrical short. The fire is reported to have done extensive damage to the facility along with the Chabad Houses storage shed.

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — A fast moving fire tore through a home on President Street at around 11:00pm last night, Sunday. Many of the occupants were forced to jump from the windows to escape the flames. The fire quickly spread to all floors in the house and forced FDNY to elevate the fire to a ‘two alarm fire’.

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — An electrical fire broke out in the ceiling of a home on Eastern Parkway. The incident took place at around 9:00pm on Motzoai Shabbos inside of 821 Eastern Parkway between Kingston and Albany on the third floor.
The father of the household first noticed the fire while he was exercising when he smelled the acrid smell of smoke and quickly evacuated the entire house and called 911. FDNY arrived as flames and thick smoke was pouring out of the ceiling of the house and the quickly went to work on dousing the fire.

GOLETA, CA — Fire investigators interviewed occupants and examined evidence before determining there was no malicious intent in connection with the blaze at UC Santa Barbara’s Chabad House, County Fire Capt. Eli Iskow said.
