The play was based on the true story of Mar Zutra II, a leader of the Jewish people in the 5th Century Persian Empire, who led a successful revolt and established a Jewish Kingdom that lasted for seven years.

Camp Gan Israel in Parksville, NY marked the completion of the first session of camp, a month filled with learning, fun and spiritual growth. Two beautiful wooden gazebos were recently donated by Hershey Chitrik and his mother Slava to Gan Yisroel-Parksville in loving memory of Shmuel ben R’ Aaron Chitrik, OBM, a former staff-member in camp who passed away on the 20th of Tammuz during the summer of 1987.
