Camp Gan Israel in the Poconos has just completed its first successful summer on its newly acquired 83-acre campus. Over 50 girls from Panama, Virgin Islands, California, Florida, Arizona, Texas and the tri-state area enjoyed 4 weeks in the beautiful Pocono Mountains, where they gained a deeper appreciation of their Jewish heritage and a stronger Jewish identity.
Holocaust Survivor Speaks at YSP
On Tisha B’av, the bochurim of Yeshiva Summer Program in Morristown, NJ heard wrenching testimony of the atrocities of the Holocaust from a survivor, who brought along several artifacts to demonstrate in real-life terms how things were in those dark times.

The staff of Camp Gan Israel-New York put on a riveting play for the campers and remaining staff. The play was based on the true story of Mar Zutra II, a leader of the Jewish people in the 5th Century Persian Empire, who led a successful revolt and established a Jewish Kingdom that lasted for seven years.
Shliach Celebrates with Bas Mitzvah Campers
Ever since his daughter celebrated her Bas Mitzvah at Camp Emunah B’nos Yaakov Yehudah more than 15 years ago, Rabbi Naftali Estulin, Rabbi of Chabad in West Hollywood and Chabad Russian Immigrant Program & Synagogue, has been visiting the camp to celebrate with the girls whose Bas Mitzvahs fall in the summer months.

On a recent trip, CGI-Simcha Monica visited America’s first theme park – Knotts Berry Farm. The night before the trip, the staff-members were tipped off about a Jewish worker with whom they should try to put on Tefilin. But they were warned that it would be a challenge: He was one of the “bad guys,” the actors who would regularly “rob” guests on the train which travels throughout the park.
