The South Florida Event of the Year: Family Adventure Day

Over four thousand people – men, women and children from all over America and Canada attended the third annual Family Adventure Day at the world famous Parrot Jungle Island in Miami, Florida. This magnificent Kiddush Hashem and Kiddush Lubavitch was coordinated by Anshei Lubavitch of Greater Miami which also heads Tzivos Hashem of the State of Florida.

The directors, Rabbi Yitzchok Teitelbaum and Rabbi Dovid Shapiro, expressed their great satisfaction of the overwhelming crowds of people that literally filled up the entire Jungle Island. The owners of Parrot Jungle Island raved non-stop about the unprecedented success of the outstanding event that which included a live concert with Uncle Moishy, a grand circus performance, with many rides and activities added onto the many shows given by the Jungle Island itself. The event had a lasting impression and everyone left with a smile on there face.

Short Police Chase Ends in Severe Crash

At around 1:00am on Tuesday night a Police Officer observed a driver at the intersection of St. Johns Pl. and Brooklyn Ave. talking on his cell phone, the officer pulled up behind the car to perform a traffic stop when the blue Honda station wagon took off at a high rate of speed, upon reaching the intersection of Brooklyn and Eastern Parkway the fleeing vehicle attempted to make a left turn, but the combination of speed and wet roads sent the car onto the median then trough a bench and into a parked minivan. The driver then got out of his wrecked car and began fleeing on foot and was stopped a short minute later by a vigilant resident who tackled the suspect and held him for police.
