Chabad to mark 20 years of service to community

Manalapan, NJ – Celebration 20 will offer an opportunity to reflect on the accomplishments of Chabad of Western Monmouth County during the past 20 years and look ahead to projects that are being planned for the future. The gala journal dinner celebrating two decades of service will take place at the Excelsior, Route 9, Manalapan, on June 4.

In addition, the event will acknowledge several guests of honor whose support and efforts have benefited community endeavors on many levels.

David Findel, CEO of Financial Resources, Marlboro, is an active supporter of the Ari Kraut Friendship Circle, which extends a helping hand to families who have children with special needs, and involves them in a full range of Jewish and social experiences.

Israir Airlines on Board with Chabad

Ever since Israir Airlines came to the aid of Chabad’s Hurricane relief efforts in New Orleans in 2005, the airline has become well-known to Lubavitchers as a company that cares about Chabad and its causes. Since the launch of their first flights between New York and Tel Aviv, Israel’s second largest airline has been closely connected with Chabad in Israel and New York. The airline’s officially appointed Rabbi is a Lubavitcher himself, and therefore all aspects requiring supervision are executed to the strictest of standards.

Rabbi Pini Althaus, Rabbi of Schunat Rasko in Cholon, Israel, and representative of the Chief Rabbinate of Russia in Israel, holds the position as Rabbi of Israir Airlines. Included in his duties is the selecting of companies that supply food for distribution on Israir’s aircrafts, and for ensuring that each item selected possesses a proper hechsher according to the strictest standards.

Lag Baomer Upshernish, Coverd By Local Media

Everyone at the University of Illinois were exited about the event, Levi’s Upshernish, Son of R. Dovid Tiectel and wife Goldie, Shluchim on campus. Over 200 participated and even waited in line to get to cut some of Levi’s hair. Among the participant was a reporter for the News Gazette which featured a full page on the event.
