New City Council District Map Published, Crown Heights Remains Divided
The NYC Districting Commission has released the final maps for the redrawn City Council Districts, and not much has changed for Crown Heights.
In the past, Chabad of Odessa, Ukraine, hosted extravagant outdoor menorah-lighting ceremonies. This year it wouldn’t be safe to host the event outdoors or even to light the giant menorah in public. Instead, they are hoping to display the menorah on top of the iconic Potemkin Stairs as a symbol of light over darkness.
