Chaim V’Chessed: Disappointing Announcement Precludes US Citizen Newborns from Traveling From Israel To The US for Pesach

In recent months, it has been extremely difficult to obtain appointments for passports and Consular Reports of Birth Abroad (CRBA) for US citizens in Israel. Disappointingly, on Friday, March 10, the Embassy announced changes to a new system that basically closes the only avenue available to those with newborn children seeking to travel to their native United States for Pesach.

Vaad Relaunches Mishpat Shalom for Dispute Resolution

The Vaad Hakohol of Crown Heights recently announced the revival of the popular “Mishpat Shalom” program to allow for the peaceful resolution of disagreements. The program will provide panels of three volunteers, under the auspices of the Beis Din of Crown Heights who will attempt to mediate various types of disputes, such as loans, business deals, contracts, landlord tenant, and even possibly family disputes.
