Press Conference Today 1PM at the JCM

Last night, State Senator Eric Adams called a last-minute press conference for TODAY AT 1:00 P.M. in front of the Jewish Children’s Museum, 792 Eastern Parkway, to DENOUNCE the vicious recent attacks on our community by violent young criminals. DON’T BE CYNICAL—SHOW UP!

The media will also be there. Let them see a crowd too!

We all say, “Why don’t the politicians do anything?” Well, Sen. Adams won’t do anything, if we show him we don’t care by not showing up at his press conference.

Please! Let’s turn out in numbers! Show we care about crime. Let Sen. Adams see that we support his initiative. TAKE A FEW MINUTES OUT OF YOUR DAY—AND BE THERE at 1:00 p.m.

Police and Press all over Crown Heights following Bias Incident

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — Starting Shabbos afternoon, the 71st Precinct reacted to the racially motivated beating of a Bochur on Carroll Street, as was first reported here on CrownHeights.info. They posted a police car on the block, but a little over an hour after Shabbos was out, the car nor any kind of patrol was visible throughout the neighborhood.

The first major media outlet to report the bias crime was the Sunday edition of the New York Daily News, following which a thunderstorm of media began swarming Crown Heights including TV outlets NBC and CBS who were in Crown Heights and interviewed residents and members of Shomrim.

Samuel Balkany – Keivom/News

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn — Cops are investigating the beating of a 16-year-old Yeshiva student in Brooklyn as a possible hate crime.

Samuel Balkany was on his way to a friend’s house in Crown Heights about 10:30p.m. Friday when five black teenagers threw him against the fence of a house, yelled anti-Semitic epithets and beat him, police and Samuel said.

“They pushed me so I was leaning on the gate, and five guys were knocking me out for five minutes,” Samuel, who is Lubavitch Hasidic, said last night. He said the teens yelled, “F—— Jew. It’s our neighborhood. We’re going to kill you, little Jew.” Bleeding from his head, Samuel went to his friend’s house and then to Kings County Hospital.
