The Rebbe says:
1. In this week’s Torah portion Hashem (G-d) commands us to take care of our brethren in need and loan them interest free money. Hashem finishes off this commandment by saying, “I am Hashem, your G-d, Who took you out of the land of Egypt…”.
Our Sages learn from this verse that, “Anyone who accepts the yoke of (the commandment regarding not taking or giving) interest, accepts the yoke of Heaven; and anyone who throws off the yoke of (the commandment regarding not taking or giving) interest, throws off the yoke of Heaven. This is because anyone who complies with the Mitzvah (commandment) of “Ribbis” (not taking or giving interest) also admits to (the fundamental principal of) our exodus from Egypt; and anyone who denies the Mitzvah of Ribbis also denies our exodus from Egypt”.

SHARON, MA [CHI] — Seventeen-year-old Leah Larson, founder, editor, and publisher of YALDAH magazine has been selected from over 700 applicants as a semi-finalist in the running to receive a $1,000.00 small business grant from IdeaCafe.com, a top-rated website for small business.
The field of semi-finalists for this grant will be reduced to finalists and the winner will be determined by the vote of IdeaCafe.com's 32,000 members worldwide and announced online on June 24, 2008 on Idea Cafe.

Rabbi Y Paltiel fills Lefferts Shul, With Learning!
CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — Everyone heard that Chassidus has a lot to do with Davening, however the many Anash that filled Lefferts shul last night, to really understand it. Rabbi Yoseph Paltiel in his special style went through the elements of Tefilah that Chassidus puts a focus on and the elements that Chassidus brought to light and clearly differentiated between them.
