“But Heschele,” countered the father, “don't you see? The yetzer hara is just doing his job. The yetzer hara is an angel created by G-d with the assignment to divert people from observing His will. You ought to be smart enough to do as he does, not as he says. Next time the yetzer hara entices you to stay in bed, tell yourself: 'Aha! He's at it again – he's up bright and early fulfilling his duty. I too have a mission; I must get out of bed quickly to get on with my task as well.'”
“Oh father,” retorted the child with a twinkle in his eye, “you make it sound so simple. But since when does the yetzer hara have to contend with a yetzer hara that tries to stop him of his assignment? Perhaps that’s why he is so efficient. I, on the other hand...”

Since the news broke that former Agriprocessors CEO Sholom Rubashkin has been arrested by federal officials for allegedly conspiring to hire undocumented workers for financial gain. Since Election Day is only days away, the story is likely to have a political impact.

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA [AP] — Sholom Rubashkin, former manager of the Agriprocessors plant in Postville and an officer in the company, was in federal court in Cedar Rapids this afternoon on criminal charges relating to the employment of illegal immigrants.
Earlier this week, I was honored to attend a ceremony marking the completion and inauguration of a new Torah scroll. My good friends, the Kamhin family of Hong Kong, inscribed themselves into eternity by fulfilling the Torah’s final bidding of acquiring a scroll for themselves. Following formalities, hundreds of participants paraded by way of Victoria Harbor to the scroll’s new home.

I will always remember my first visit to Lubavitch. It happened some thirty years ago. Though a Chasid of Wizhnitz, I had heard of Chabad and its renowned leader. A foreign correspondent for Israel’s evening paper “Yediot Achronot,” I had thought of doing a story about the way Lubavitcher chasidim celebrate the liberation of the first–or the “Alter”–Rebbe, Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi from Czarist prison. When I left in the early morning hours, I still belonged to Wizhnitz, but I was already caught by something or someone one finds only in Lubavitch.
POSTVILLE, IA — Federal prosecutors have arrested Sholom Rubashkin, former chief executive officer and vice president at Agriprocessors and son of company founder Aaron Rubashkin, on a criminal complaint that alleges the man conspired in immigration-related offenses.

The following is an important recall which applies to many cribs that have been given to Kollel Yungerlite over the past few years. please read:
Delta Enterprise Corp. has recalled nearly 1.6 million drop side cribs after two babies suffocated when the drop side detached. The recall includes cribs with two different kinds of broken hardware, including 985,000 “Crib Trigger Lock with Safety Peg” drop side hardware, and 600,000 “Crib Trigger Lock with Spring Peg” drop side hardware.
Although neither of these cribs are currently sold at stores, you should check cribs you already own to make sure they’re not included.
