JACKSONVILLE, FL — The lighting of the menorah is a Jewish tradition that marks the beginning of Hanukkah.
On Sunday, the Jewish community in Jacksonville gathered at the landing for the annual lighting.
MONSEY, NY [CHI] — Over 80 vehicles joined the Chabad Lubavitch of Greater Monsey annual Menorah Parade on Sunday night, the 3rd night of Chanuka. The parade, which was organized by K’hal Tzemach Tzedek Lubavitch of Monsey and Yeshivas Menachem Mendel Lubavitch of Monsey, departed from K’hal Tzemach Tzedek and was led by fire trucks from the Monsey and Spring Valley Fire Departments.
A new initiative for Chanukah spearheaded by the Igud Avreichim of Crown Heights aims to get families and individuals to go out on Chanukah Mivtzoim. “Thousands of Jewish families living within a half hour of Crown Heights, in Brooklyn and Manhattan, will celebrate Chanukah this year with visits from Lubavitch families like yours.”

The Friendship Circle of Brooklyn hosted a grand Chanukah party for Friendship Circle families, volunteers, and supporters. The children enjoyed many Chanukah crafts and games together with their volunteers. The event was dedicated in memory of Alta Shula Swerdlov OBM.
