CROWN HEIGHTS — A grand end of the year Homework Helper meeting took place last night at the Shluchim Lounge in The Shluchim Center.
This meeting was a great opportunity to thank the Homework Helpers, a group of 10th grade volunteers from Beis Rivka High School, for the time they dedicated to helping Online School students throughout the year with their homework.
We would like to wish Mazal Tov to Shuey and Nechama Dina (nee Hirsch) Samuels (Howard Beach, NY) on the birth of their son.
May the newborn be a source of Nachas to his parents, grandparents and Klal Yisroel.

Crown Heights, NY — A new civilian watch group in Crown Heights is bringing together blacks and Jews in a neighborhood once synonymous with racial tension.
If all goes as planned, a Caribbean-American pastor could share a car with an Orthodox Jew on the NYPD Civilian Observation Patrol – or blacks might volunteer for Friday night shifts, when their Jewish neighbors can’t work.

As they have done Erev Pesach, Shomrim is involved once again in making this happen.
