Online School Homework Helper Celebration

CROWN HEIGHTS — A grand end of the year Homework Helper meeting took place last night at the Shluchim Lounge in The Shluchim Center.

This meeting was a great opportunity to thank the Homework Helpers, a group of 10th grade volunteers from Beis Rivka High School, for the time they dedicated to helping Online School students throughout the year with their homework.

The program included a beautiful slideshow recapping the year, an address by the Online School principal Mrs. Gitty Rosenfeld, and speeches by a homework helper volunteer and an online school student.

Broadcasting live from Satellite Beach, Florida, Chaya Konikov – a 7th grade Online School student – shared her thoughts on how Homework Helpers impacted her life throughout the year.

A delicious Chinese style food buffet and sushi were served and each volunteer received a customized blanket throw as a token of appreciation.

We’d like to acknowledge the 12th grade leaders of this program and the 36 volunteers of 10th grade Beis Rivka who did a fantastic job this year.

We’d also like to thank Ms. Gillie Resnick and Mrs. Rivky Turner for organizing and setting up this beautiful event.
